3. Not your responsibility to "set the record straight". Let him write his
own letter to the editor. Unfortunately, they didn't assign any oversite from what I've read so he may have a point but, again, not your problem!!

5. Actually, Dems wanted some oversight / accountability
in this bill, but they were not allowed to bring any amendments.

8. You're right. I do remember some Dems complaining that they
were not allowed to offer amendments. Done on proceedural vote.

9. Which ended up making all the yes votes political
They were boxed into handing $51 billion over to the bushbots and giving up their constitutional responsibility of oversight.

All that's left for them now is to call for investigations of the corruption that is already occuring.

It isn't hard to believe that some of those repubs were heartless, but if they voted no for the right reason, maybe they'll be able to make that clear. It is certainly inappropriate for a govt official to call a private citizen who disagrees with them.

If every single dem had voted no -offered an alternate plan, maybe with even more money- it might have gained enough press for the reason to get some press. As it is, the whole thing is a sham- and one big slush fund for the executive branch.

KBR profits will skyrocket long before any NO residents receive money to relocate or to go home.

6. Have you called the local police?
Sounds like you have a stalker.

Should we all call this goon's office and ask why he is stalking people who write letters to the editor?

13. Annoying people at home
That's real proper conduct for a Congressman. This must be Rove's new strategy, harass the constituents who criticize you.
