Rove attacks from weakness, every time. Right now the big talking point is, 'Now is not the time to point fingers!' The weakness is that Bush was on vacation when the disaster struck. He then went to eat cake, try to drum up support for his latest attempt at lowering the living standards of America, and to get a guitar before returning to Crawford to sleep. That was not the time to be doing photo ops. He then proceeded to do nothing, nothing, photo-op, nothing, photo-op, nothing, and then they started accusing others of pointing fingers. The people being accused were those who were rightly addressing the total failure of his government to act in a competent or ethical manner. Whenever I hear the, 'Now is not the time to point fingers!' it is always said as an accusation for those who have observed that Bush failed utterly. It is then followed by an accusation of the State and local authorities. The correct answer to 'Now is not the time to point fingers!' is to ask, 'Did the president do a good job? Is this the time for him to be doing photo-ops?' Then if they are still there, ask if a real president would have made sure he knew what was happening, made sure what the response was, and made sure the response was working. If Bush was managing a store for you, you would now be bankrupt. In fact he is managing your store and it is now bankrupt. How long would you keep him as a manager in a store? How long would you keep him if employees kept dying? It is his job to know what is going on. I was better informed than he! Yes they are correct, 'Now is not the time to point fingers!', the death and destruction have already happened. Far be it from me to point a finger while through action and inaction people have lost lives, homes, pets, jobs, and property. The time to point fingers is when someone misbehaves in class. It is time to remove the failures from office. It is time to make charges against the criminals in power.
