Dean Statement on Brown Resignation

Washington, DC - Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the
following statement on the resignation of Michael Brown, the former director of
FEMA:

"Mike Brown's decision to resign from FEMA is the best decision he's made in
three weeks. We can only hope that this is the first of many changes that the
Bush administration will make, because clearly their irresponsible business-as-
usual mindset has had disastrous consequences for the people of the Gulf Coast
in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina."

It doesn't get any better than that.

4. I think Dean's becoming the Demo Chair is the best thing that's
happened to the Democratic Party in years. No more triangulation. No more nuancing. He just articulates it. He can talk to the base and he can handle the press. He's also got some ideas. He's got McAuliffe beaten hands down.
