David Schuster reporting a new FEMA failure right now
On Regular Joe's show ......

The Fremont, CA fire and rescue people were ready to come to NO at the drop of a hat. They called FEMA and asked for air transport. FEMA said thanks but no thanks. They chartered a bus and DROVE. NOFD welcomed them with open arms and a deep need.

When will this shit END???????

This is a FAILURE OF THE FEDS.

A Failure of GOVERNMENT.

REPUBLICAN government.

When will this shit END??????

Regular Joe's even railing about this. Ranting that those who are suffering are 'those in the shadows of life'.

Wow!

7. Exactly. Do NOT let the media pound FEMA to death.. Get them to say
that it was almost perfect under James Lee Witt.

In fact, I am gonna go email Keith o to ask him to think that over. There is a lot of $$ to be gained by companies when they privatize.

3. Great rant from Joe about FEMA and the Red Cross blocking things.
Edited on Mon Sep-12-05 09:14 PM by Pirate Smile
Scarborough said his charity was called by someone at a hospital asking for help. She said babies were walking around in 3 day old diapers because they don't have anything. They took diapers, formula, etc. to the hospital and the either FEMA or Red Cross person arrogantly wouldn't let them help them and told them they didn't need their help.

There is so much insanity going on, it is amazing.

edit to add - Scarborough said that FEMA/RC was keeping warehouses full of things on the outskirts of town and he said "in the white areas" of town.

8. I knew when I saw that he was the guest, he would just do his Bushbot
crap but Joe has actually been great on this story.

On big fact he has pointed out repeatedly is that when he criticizes Blanco, he also criticizes Barbour. He hasn't just bitched about the Democrats and he has MAINLY focused his anger at Bush, FEMA and the Red Cross since most of his personal experience has been in Mississippi.

We should ask Crooks and Liars if they caught his rant and Shuster's story about the CA firefighters.

Oh no, Julia Reed, she is a total Republican lover, Dem basher. I'm turning the channel now.

5. An important point about the firefighters was that they had the
communications equipment the NOLA firefighters and cops needed but didn't have and it would have helped them save more people.

6. This couldn't possibly be a failure of the govt
It's a deliberate strategy by the govt. There are WAAAAAAAAY too many snafus for it to be merely bureaucratic blunder. No agency can make that many mistakes. FEMA is being directed to mess up.

They're waiting for the cow to be ready to burst before milking it. That way they get the MOST milk.
