More evidence of idiot son having an illness of some sort?
If one views the film of idiot son in that visit where Michael of Arabians was famously told he was doing a heckuvva job, one can see idiot son wiping the left corner of his mouth. Several times. As if he were removing drool. This was in the moments when he pretended to be listening. You know .... looking at his shoes .... looking at the crowd ..... looking at anyone except whoever was speaking.

And, it would appear, he was drooling.

Did anyone else notice this?

3. The left side of his mouth has been drooping and expressionless
for a long time.

I'm no MD, but I guess it's a drug side-effect.

6. Don't some anti-anxiety meds cause those symptoms ?
... In addition, of course, to his strong genetic neanderthal tendencies ....

14. Maybe something like thorazine...
Side effects may include:
... abnormalities in movement and posture, agitation, anemia, ... chewing movements, ... dizziness, drooling, ... eye problems causing fixed gaze, fainting, ... involuntary movements of arms and legs, tongue, face, mouth, or jaw, ... light-headedness (on standing up, mask-like face... puckering of the mouth, puffing of the cheeks... red or purple spots on the skin... seizures....

Though I had a friend who took thorazine and got really fat, so maybe that's not it. Of course, if he's also taking amphetamines... well!

21. Bingo - right on the button
I've been saying for a long time that Bush is likely on Thorazine or some other anti-psychotic with shots or Ritalin or some other speed-like drug being administered for public appearances. The jaw-grinding fits right in with this too.

You win the year's supply of canned squid!

13. Always looked like a stroke to me
It has resulted in that smirk becoming permanent. Kind of like when your mother says "Don't make your face look like that or it will freeze that way." Well, there you go.

16. Spittle during debate
I saw that during the debate too. That's when my estimation of Bush dropped. He went from idiot to blithering idiot.

17. At that debate, he looked and sounded as bad as he ever has in public.
I've always known he was a blithering idiot, but his appearance that night was shocking.

Welcome to DU. :hi:

5. GW looked...
totally uninterested in listening to anyone else. GW loves hearing himself babble. He looked kind of lost during the news conference and maybe afraid of the questions that might be asked. Mr Confusion is a label that seems a prefect fit now! He has got a nervous look about him now and not the cock of the walk look now!

When someone here at DU...
...first mentioned his odd jaw twitch, I watched closely and could barely detect it. And it was infrequent. Now it is obvious and constant.

11. oh, damn it.

I really don't feel like writing up my post on how all the very copious evidence adds up for the n zillionth time. There's too much of it. And even DU people who think they have some kind of really radical opinions about his problem are way too milquetoast, unwilling to see what is pretty obvious to anyone who has actually ever worked with neuro/psych patients.

Bush has well-concealed temporal lobe epilepsy with occasional full seizures, it's probably a result of FAE (fetal alcohol effects), and he's being kept on Topamax.

I think drooling is mentioned here, as a side effect-

18. Are you saying Babs Bush was a heavy drinker during pregnancy?
Edited on Tue Sep-13-05 11:45 AM by CottonBear
Is the epilepsy why he's always hurting himself? That would explain all of the injuries.

22. Hmm.. that one also explains why he speaks so poorly these days
I normally chalk up his terrible oratory to stupidity, but he used to be all right back in the early 90's. And looky what they say about Tompamax:

Memory loss, aphasia (weird words coming out in place of what you meant to say or write), word find problems (not being able to recall the names of people, things or concepts), and a general cognitive impairment that has earned this drug the nicknames "Stupamax" and "Dopamax."

12. Yes, I noticed that
His body language was withdrawn from Brown. His arms were crossed as were Chertoff's. But W's posture was odd and he was not looking at Brown except a glance or two. And when he wiped the corner of his mouth, it seemed off notch. No one wanted to be there.

Well, that's too obvious of a statement, but there's something physically not right.
