Instead they left them behind to drown while desperately scampering for cover. When calls came in offering help, amazingly, they actually declined the assistance. Stunning, isn't it? Now they are out and free on their own recognizance and claiming, without any shame at all, that there's "more to the story" than all the bad news the doom and gloom press is reporting.
