Have other presidents referred to the United States as "my nation" the way George does? I just don't recall it....maybe I am wrong....or maybe I just find it particularly disgusting coming from his mouth.

7. I called the WH early on about that phrase --

I reached a very nice woman, a career civil servant I'm sure, and told her we fought a revolution over that phrase. That's England: it's Her Majesty's government. Here, it's ours. She seemed to think I had a point, and took note of it, as they do. I like to think that after that Bush, at least, used the term less!
