Will Feds Charge Greta Police Chief/Officers With Hate Crimes?

Do * and Karl Rove dare risk angering their KKK voting base by going after Gretna police officers who terrorized african-american survicors from NOLA, stealing their food and water at gunpoint, firing shots into the air which cause widespread terror hampering the relief effort?

I expect that absolutely nothing will be done to these police officers, but since W. has been forced to take some of the blame, he might be in a bad mood. We will see.

1. Puff piece on Gretna on NPR

All Things Considered tonight. Seems Gretna is back in business, with water, sewer, electricity. The mayor says the reason the town is back on its feet is because of the city lockdown. He made no apologies for the blockade and the turning back of evacuees, falling back on the old canard of "looters".

2. I don't know, but I was shocked when I heard the interviews

on CNN & MSNBC. They interviewed both the Chief from Greta and 2 people who were in the group of people trying to cross the bridge. The Chief was a real jerk! "D don't know if my officers fired their guns. Haven't talked to them yet." What the hell kind of chief is that? I wonder if Anderson Cooper tried to cross that bridge and find the deputies? I assume they're still busy guarding their precious town! He didn't say anything about trying though.

Ever since I saw those people I've been wondering what will happen to this Chief. After all, he did admit, he sent his deputies to stop "those people" from crossing! I don't know enough about the law to know what they could be charged with, but it sure seems like it should be something!!!!
