3. Actually, it would have. He is a take charge guy, even if he is a crook.

Like he ran from Iraq after a few weeks?

He was Giuliani's driver, who was willing to do what he was told if the money was good enough, and a little prestige, which, had he not met Giuliani, he would never have achieved. Giuliani elevated him to Police Chief!!

There was a warrant out for him when Bush, following the Repub. mantra of hiring thugs with no particular qualifications, like Giuliani, decided to elevate him to HLS chief. Good thing he was from NY. We here in NY were well aware of his profiteering and although I did NOT know that while the work on ground zero was going on, the recovery of the bodies of the victims, he was using an apartment overseeing that site, to conduct his affair with the Fox talking head, I was not surprised. Nothing I might hear about him would surprise me.

Not only that, he posted a much needed police detail to guard him while he froliced around in an apartment supposed to have been for the firemen to rest in after the gruelling and emotional work they were doing.

I agree that things would have been different, but being that Giuliani and his police department were known for their brutality towards minorities, I'm afraid that they would have much, much worse.

He's not a no-nonsense guy, he's a thug and a crook ~ and he never should have been a police chief. Frankly, I thought he must be in jail by now ~ but it seems the bigger the Republican criminal you are, the higher you rise.

5.  He would have stunk too
...Bush has broken FEMA apart....there is no FEMA...that's why today 17 days later they are still not in many areas and they are still getting bodies and live people ( MR. Hollingsworth) out. What a friggin outrage this is. Fema is now the agency that doles money to private contractors ( bush supporters) to "fix" the problem. AND THEN THE CONTRACTORS CAN GIVE MONEY TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY......that is the emergency "plan" that the rethuglicans have come up with. PRIVITIZATION.....
