WOLFOWITZ IS IN CHARGE OF RED CROSS
I have been curious as to why our government has been touting Red Cross. www.worldbank.org Remember this administration is about greed and power. I thought that the Red Cross was an American virtue, a safe place for people in need, but I was wrong. We have got to get these people out of power, and can not accept one more appointment from this administration. Our taxes are going to pay for this, probably twice. In shrubs speech tonight he is going to read the guidelines and policy for rebuilding NO, (link below) and thats all. These guys are so easy to figure out just stay one step ahead of them, but watch your back. KKKarl is a simpleton
First of all, think back on the remarks the Prez made during his first couple of visits to LA.
Now see if these don’t sound familiar:
As people begin to rebuild their lives following the disaster, it is critical they be engaged in the important planning process in which they have such a stake. Consultation and inclusion have been guiding principles of the Bank’s approach to reconstruction following December’s tsunami.
There are big challenges ahead in coordinating the rebuilding effort and guaranteeing that the money pledged gets to people in need. A key focus of the Bank's work has been to ensure that affected communities are involved in assessing their needs and designing recovery programs,"
Paul Wolfowitz, World Bank

How about this:
Dear Mr. President,
On behalf of the staff and Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank Group, I wish to express our deep sorrow concerning the tragic events that continue to unfold as a result of Hurricane Katrina's devastation. We share our deepest sympathy and solidarity with the American people, and the United States authorities, and extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of all who died, were injured, or left homeless in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana.
We know that national, state and local authorities are working hard to deal with the magnitude of the disaster in terms of loss of life, material damage and economic impact across the region. In the meantime, as they did in the wake of the December 2004 tsunami disaster in Asia, World Bank Group staff members have launched fund raising and volunteer efforts to help assist the victims of Katrina and their families. We are in direct contact with several charitable organizations, including the Red Cross, so that we can respond further in terms of contribution of blood or food items, should the need arise.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those whose lives have been affected by this tragedy.
Sincerely,
Paul Wolfowitz
Here is the link to the guidelines that were used during the tsunami, for redevelopment. This one works, http://siteresources.worldbank.org/INTTSUNAMI/Resources...

This is an interesting read. Details the policy that the government has to follow to receive funding, what do you want to bet that they will be applied to the flooded areas, since Wolfie referred to the tsunami in the letter to the president.

I’m going to do more research on this because I found some pretty scary stuff. The FEMA insurance (FIMA) guru, Howard Leikin, controls $570B in disaster coverage insurance (federal flood insurance, etc), as well as working with the World Bank where he recently announced this new program:
To serve countries that face these risks, the World Bank is pleased to announce an important new product—natural disaster insurance. The World Bank is committed to delivering this new risk transfer product to clients, and to increasing knowledge about natural disaster risk. In this context, the Bank is organizing a conference to address “Financing the Risks of Natural Disasters: A New Perspective on Country Risk Management.”

This was a program for poor people
This link worked earlier, but you’ll have to some searching

Also the World Bank has
Governors from each country, guess who ours is That’s right Pete Snow

Basically what the incompetence doesn’t screw up, and the crooks don’t steal, the victims are left with little more than their pain and anguish. HELP

2. I do not get the impression that Wolfie is in charge of the Red Cross.

3. I think he may have some influence re: International Red Cross...

but not the American Chapter. I'll stand corrected if need be, but I think each major country/regional chapter is pretty autonomous.

5. I guess I'm not explain myself to well
I spent hours on the web site, alot of the sites that i had looked at were no longer available the next day, so I eliminated them from the post. The site is huge. Ask yourself this, Why would the President of the World Bank tell the American Prez that he has notified the Red Cross. Where do you think the Red Cross donations are deposited. Tonight the Prez is going to ask for Hurricane Aide, that will come from the World Bank. This is a big world, that we are all a part of, one world., and I think we are all international now. But I will keep researching.

4. Can we ask for our money back?????
Actually...I didn't give to the Red Cross. The Bush era has made me so suspicious that I don't trust anything remotely or even indirectly connected to them. The only charity related to this situation that I do trust and gave my money to is Habitat for Humanity.
