The Note: " He has never been rolled by Nancy Pelosi before"
I lost any respect I had for the NOTE in late 2003, but this one was decent...

http://www.abcnews.go.com/Politics/TheNote/story?id=156238

--snip--

"How is the situation President Bush faces tonight different than on all other nights since 9/11?":

He has never seen his poll numbers take this kind of hit among Republicans before.

He has never seen his poll numbers on "strong leader" and "can handle a crisis" take such a hit before.

He has never seen his efforts to build the Republican Party among African-Americans be so thoroughly undermined before.

He has never been rolled by Nancy Pelosi before.

He has never been without Dr. Rice or Ambassador Hughes down the hall during a crisis before.

He has never had two open-ended spending commitments of tens of billions of dollars before.

He has never had to take "responsibility" for such death-infused tragedy before.

He has never had to rethink whether he has put fully qualified people in critical jobs before.

--snip-- and it goes on and on.

1. Congressional Dems approval ratings jumped on that one
Let's hope they take note. Fighting back isn't just a good idea, its also what the voters want to see.

2. I'll decline to go to the site
But is one of their differences:

"He has never faced a problem without the full-throated support of every major news outlet, singing his praises and damning his critics"?

Because if that isn't one of the differences, the folks who write The Note are a self-deceiving bunch of elitist insiders who will spend the first three years after Bush is turned out of office excusing and justifying their shameful behavior in supporting him.

Arrogant assclowns.

3. "He's never been rolled by Nancy Pelosi before"? What? She walked
in there and he bold faced was callus "what hasn't gone right" or whatever he said when she asked about Brown being fired and the problems. A week later - he admits mistakes and responsibility and fires (on the sly) "Brownie".

So when she was predictably shocked and spoke out - what? That is rolling?
