2000 Katrina children missing - do the politicians even care?

two thousand! missing children.

you wanna bet some of these children are in the hands of pedophiles.

you wanna bet many are small bodies floating in the toxic water.

not finding these children is a crime.

parents must be insane with loss (if the parents are still alive)

CNN reporters keep reporting the missing 2000 and shaking their heads in disbelief. wish some would do more and investigate.

5. Pssst - George! About that "No Child Left Behind ..."
Ya missed a few George. Is it not worth mentioning in your speechifyin' tonight because most of them are poor, young and black?

I bet everyone here one dollar that he does NOT mention the missing tonight.

And I believe the number quoted, it was 1700 last I knew. Some might still be reunited, and are just separated in other shelters, etc and cut off from communication. Wish that could be said about them all.

8. MSNBC's spin on this (no link here either...this was TV)...
"2000 missing, but the number is that high because people never contact the government agencies to let them know their kids have come home."

10. Right after the Tsunami, Poppy and Bill were expressing MUCH concern
for the children of THAT natural disaster. Any similar concern expressed this time?

11. repuke or dem children?
I think that's what really makes the difference. Not to sound depressing, but if this was a Boca RAton disaster with rich people kids missing . . .

13. Of course the politicos don't care! Children can't vote!

I'd be beside myself with grief. Hell, I have separation anxiety from my kid when he's in school and I can't call my Mom's house just to say, "hi."
