Kurt Vonnegut's list of "Liberal Crap I Never Want to Hear Again." (TDS)
(This is good!)

From The Daily Show at Comecy Central:

Kurt Vonnegut's list of "Liberal Crap I Never Want to Hear Again."

LIBERAL CRAP I NEVER WANT TO HEAR AGAIN

Give us this day our daily bread. Oh sure.

Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those wh trespass against us.
Nobody better trespass against me. I'll tell you that.

Blessed are the meek.

Blessed are the merciful. You mean we can't use torture?

Blessed are the peacemakers. Jane Fonda?

Love your enemies - Arabs?

Ye cannot serve God and Mammon. The hell I can't! Look at the Reverand Pat Robertson. And He is as happy as a pig in s**t.

4. I saw this referred to on The Daily Show
KV is somewhere between brilliant and senile. I was hoping this was a bit longer.

5. You should check out the interview video, if you haven't seen it yet.
He's still got it, but you can tell his physical condition isn't so good these days. I was getting worried for him during that interview.

Goto the link below and click "Videos" on list on the left, then click "Celebrity Interviews," you'll see it.

7. I loved the part about teaching democracy
Anyone else think the audience was right along with him on slavery and giving women the vote, but kinda fell off when he mentioned a democracy gets to have a genocide in the beginnning?

Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 05:49 PM by faithnotgreed
i tend to think the audience followed since at least it followed the other sarcasms

oh well i caught it so i think many others would too
since kurt is now showing some of his 82 years we were fortunate to see him at all

on edit: yes it was a bit awkwardly tacked on there

13. That depends on how they were educated
That kind of stuff is glossed over in many history textbooks.
