Help me with this LYING Cindy Sheehan email that going through
cyberspace now. It was sent to me by a Dem friend just to let me know what is going on on the other side. These people have NO shame.

Basically they are saying that Cindy never raised her son but left him for her FIRST husband to raise while she because a political activist and is only using him now for the spotlight. I found this information about her on Wikopedia and plan to send it to all NINE previous forwards, (about 100 people). If anyone has another source to prove that Cindy is what she says she is please let me know. Or if anyone would like to respond to these freaks let me know and I will PM the email addresses of them.

1. Debunked on Snopes
Cindy and Patrick were married 28 years. They were high school sweethearts, and were married until after Casey's death. They've never been married to anyone else, and Casey lived at home with Cindy his entire childhood.

Ask anyone who sends it to you why Republicans believe they can't win an argument by telling the truth?

2. Link to snopes article

The piece quoted above (which I didn't copy and paste), criticizing Ms. Sheehan's alleged lack of involvement in her son's upbringing after divorcing his father, is something fabricated out of whole cloth, evidently the product of someone's confusing a completely different family with the Sheehans. Cindy Sheehan and her husband, Patrick, were high school sweethearts who wed while both were in their early 20's and who have been married to each other for over 28 years. (Neither has ever been married to anyone else.) The couple had four children together, of whom Casey was the oldest. Both parents raised Casey together, first in the southern California community of Norwalk and later in the northern California town of Vacaville, where the Sheehans moved when Casey was 14.

****

An interview conducted by Bill O'Reilly on the Fox News Channel possibly contributed to the mistaken belief that Cindy Sheehan's son Casey had come from a previous marriage and was raised by her ex-husband. The 15 August 2005 segment of The O'Reilly Factor began with a brief statement about Ms. Sheehan's having separated from her husband of 28 years over her "radicalism," but quickly segued into a reaction piece to a spot aired the previous week about Delores Kesterson, another mother who, like Cindy Sheehan, lost a son in Iraq and was now opposed to U.S. military involvement there. That reaction piece consisted of an inteview with Clay Kesterson, the father of Chief Warrant Officer Erik Kesterson (who was killed in Iraq on 15 November 2003), and his current wife, M.J. Kesterson., during which the couple stated that Erik had lived with and been raised by them (rather than his biological mother, Delores), and that Erik "was 180 degrees on the other side of the position with his mom on anything political."

3. I've been getting a lot of mileage out of pointing out
That RWers are not entitled to their own facts, they have to use the same ones as the rest of us.

4. I read this weeks ago
and spent a few hours searching for a source. I found nothing reputable. I found a lot of parrots.

I would think if it were true we would have heard this from the paternal grandparents who appear to not support Cindy.

I decided it was a lie.
