WES CLARK says Republican 'values' are only about SEX
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 06:51 PM by FrenchieCat
Soundbytes from General Clark's speech as he stumped for Virginia Governorial Candidate, Tom "raising" Kaine, this past Tuesday.

*"Republican 'values' are only about SEX."
But Jesus said, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself,
so the Republicans are wrong,
"it's not about sex it's about LOVE."

*"Democrats have been stereotyped" for too long. We need to remind people that Gordon Gecko (from the movie "Wall Street") "epitomizes the values of the Republican Party - Greed is Good!"

*"Republicans really believe that the best government is the least possible government.
Democrats believe in equal opportunity," and that "government should do its duty to help people who can't help themselves."
*The Bush Administration's pathetic response to Hurricane Katrina epitomizes this contrast between the Democrats and Republicans.

*"The idea that you can take from the public to give to the wealthy is detracting from America."

*"We're in a real struggle now...we have to stand up for who we really are as Democrats. We've got a great record. We need to stand up and shout it out!"

2. That's good. I really love how they're all out there stumping away for all
the candidates.

I think they all decided last year to do everything they can to turn back this GOP cabal. None of the primary candidates take snipes at each other, and instead, all work in different yet similar ways to keep the pressure on BushInc in every way they can.

4. Not only are those soundbytes good....clear....and puts the GOP
on the defensive.....they are sooooo true!

"Greed is Good" is a definite Republicanism desease!
Sex as the true 'value' that the GOP are concerned about is oh soooo true!

I'm loving the reframing that's going on in Clark's many speeches! He's gonna show us what those GOP assholes really stand for!

3. It really is all about SEX with the Repukes isn't it.
I would like to see that become a major Democratic talking point, that the repukes have an unhealthy obsession with sex. Point it out and ridicule it, every time they go on and on about sodomy, or about girls messing around in high school bathrooms, or about man on dog or man on turtle.

Drive home to the people that Republicans are sex obsessed perverts.

Nice to see somebody getting really agressive with these punks.

21. They are obsessed with SEX
So many pukes told me they wanted to vote Kerry but homos made them vote for b**h.

So many times their arguments center around sexual matters; it's as if they want the government peeking into their bedrooms.

All they ever talk is abortion or gay people. What else do they have to offer people? What do they have to offer me? I'm not gay and I'm not against gay people and I'm not having sex or planning a family any soon and I'm not against choice, so what do they have to offer me? Fear? No thanks.

What other leading Democrat was a 4 star general who planned, led the last war that we won without losing a single US troop six years ago?

What other leading Democrat lost his job for insisting that Boots on the ground would avert civilian deaths in Kosovo?

What other leading Democrat was shot 4 times in Vietnam and almost lost his life and stayed in the military?

What other Leading Democrat is the most decorated Officer since Einsenhower?

What other leading Democrat has been all three; knighted by England and has received the Legion D'honor by the French Foreign Legion and the Presidential Medal of Honor by the U.S.?

What other leading Democrat stated that he would kick the living shit out of anyone who try to call him unpatriotic or go after his military record?

What other leading Democrat was screaming and encouraging involvment in Rwanda, when 800,000 where being machete to death?

What other leading Democrat is keeping Darfur and Haiti issues in the current news?

What other leading Democrat currently works with James Witt in the in Emergency Prepardness business due to his expertise?

What other leading Democrat recently went around the country BEFORE Katrina hit talking like this...
Today, General Wesley Clark underscored the immediate need to address these issues, "It's imperative to expand the dialogue about interoperable communications among public safety officials. It's at the very core of emergency preparedness."

Which Leading Democrat spoke out BEFORE Wes Clark against George Bush's handling of Katrina?

What other leading Democrat received a masters from Oxford in Economics, Politics and Ethics.

What other Leading Democrat speaks Spanish, Russian, German and English?

What other Democrat moved 31 times while serving his country?

What other Democrat made under $82,000 until he retired at the age of 55?

What other leading Democrat was stating 3 days after 9/11 that....
For the United States, the weapons of this war should be information, law enforcement and, on rare occasions, active military
forces.

No vast military deployments should be anticipated.

Our objective should be neither revenge nor retaliation...

The aim should be to attack not buildings and facilities but the people who have masterminded, coordinated, supported and executed these and other terrorist attacks.

Our methods should rely first on domestic and international law, and the support and active participation of our friends and allies around the globe.

Evidence must be collected, networks uncovered and a faceless threat given shape and identity.

In some cases, astute police work will win the day, here and abroad. In other cases, international intelligence collaboration may be necessary. Special military forces may be called on to operate in states that are uncooperative or simply unable to control their own territory.

In exceptional cases, targets will be developed that may be handled by conventional military strikes.

But in the main, this will be arduous, detailed and often covert work to track, detain or otherwise engage and "take down" our adversaries, rolling them up cell by cell and headquarters by headquarters.

Some will call for full disclosure and near-legal standards of evidence before acting. Others will arm a hair trigger, seeking to use the most readily available information, even if scant. But we must not pose legality and expediency as opposite extremes.

To be expedient, we must act within the bounds of international law and consistent with consensus among the allied coalition that is emerging. And maintaining this consensus will be one of the prime challenges we face.

We must strengthen our protective measures at airports, at utilities and other public service facilities such as communications networks, and prepare necessary public health and disease control capabilities
http://wesleyclark.h1.ru/usa_attack1.htm

Please tell me which other Leading Democrat?

I have more....but I'm out of breath. :hi:

People have been used to sound bites for the last few years which really gets on my nerves personally. I like to be challenged and educated. I want someone who is smart representing me. Not someone "I can have a beer with". I would like to have a drink with someone who I can talk to and truly understands and knows how to fix a problem without poll numbers.

Notice that although he works with Witt and just gave a Communications Emergency Preparedness speech not too long before Katrina struck, is part of Clinton's Global Warming Initiative, and has been very vocal on alternative plans to correct the course in Iraq....they ain't had him on SINCE the Hurricane.

They must be shaking in their ChickenHawk boots that Clark might lower those Bush approval numbers even lower than they are.

Fox doesn't want to have to deal with such an additional "complication" to mess up their current rehabilitation of Bush the Disaster.

We ruled most of the twentith century. What political party sent a man to outer space? What political party got us through WW2? What political party got us through the Great Depression? What political party helped bring electricity to the south (TVA)? What political party created the greatest surplus in our countries history? Howard Dean pointed this out when he was inuagurated in as DNC chairman. He said that only twice in our countries history has there been a surplus in the budget. Andrew Jackson and Bill Clinton: two democrats. We should remind people of who knows how to govern nationally and who sucks at it.

or any of those other phony "moral issues."

As anybody knows, those are ways to get the middle and working classes to support a party which is against their economic interests by diverting their attention.

The radical right of the GOP is all about greed as the highest virtue and anything and anybody standing in the way of that pursuit is to be dismantled and destroyed.

44. Exactly
If you haven't there is this great documentary that shows how Karl Rove has used the religion factor to gain votes. I think it was "With God on Our Side" and it shows how Bush once told how he became a Christian and Rove saw the reaction(s) and from then on he used it as a least resort to gain votes. They will never get rid of Roe V Wade nor do anything about or for gay marriage because what else would they have to talk about? In the movie the "Architect" this also shows that. If you haven't seen the film go to http://www.pbs.org and you can see it there.
It shows how they used the gay marriage ordeal with Ann Richards and John McCain and then John Kerry. But all the while he has a vice president who has a gay daughter. :eyes: Remember that phony stunt they did after the third debate but yet when Edwards said something in the vp debate they didn't do anything? It's all just for PR and to win votes.
