These may seem minor, but it irritated the crap out of me that he didn't address it.
When he was talking about how he expects the American people to keep giving generously, and American organizations to keep working hard, he never said anything about American corporations donating generously and perhaps putting a cap on their ungodly profits.
Secondly, he rightly thanked everyone who helped....first responders, the American people, etc.
But has ANYONE PUBLICLY THANKED THE CITIZENS AND GOVERNMENTS OF THE WORLD WHO HAVE SENT AID??????? I'm appalled at how that has been overlooked. I got a domain name a week ago to set up a site where we could all go to put a message of thanks to the people of the world, and I can't find anyone to help with it (I don't have the know-how or $$....just the thought of wanting to express gratitude.....and the people who are willing to help who have expertise don't have the $$ either). I know we've all been focused on evacuees, and that shouldn't stop, but I'm mortified more thanks to the world hasn't been expressed....unless I missed it. Did * perhaps thank them at the UN yesterday?
