I was just thinkin' Iraq and Katrina. Hmmm. May have to rethink this! How about Bush: Get an exit strategy that works as good as the one you used to get out of VietNam... Nah. Too long. :-)

5. Hey, We're peaceniks, meet up with us.
We're not looking for trouble, just a show of solidarity with other peaceniks. Hopefully things will not get out of control. Anybody got tips on what to do if problems arise? I would think a plan B in case of emergency ( an exit strategy!) would be a good idea. A lawyer who belongs to a Mac users group told my husband he would bail us out of jail if need be! Other than that I am too much of a novice to offer advice.

If you are near a big city there are probably lots of church groups that have space on buses, Also, local chapters of veterans for peace. Where are you coming from?

I'll ask around. I'm coming from East Tennessee, so I might have to look real hard. Hopefully one of my friends will decide to make the trip.

21. some ideas for you...
I've been in the same spot man...

I think there's a way to post a ride request. You could always post that you need a ride. Another thing to try would be to post to the craigs list for your area, that might help... You could even look in there to see if there are other people looking. You could always carpool.

Another thing to try are geographic communities on Livejournal. Sounds silly I know, but I know people have found rides that way.

Good luck... if you end up getting there, I'll be the one holding a sign that says "I, for one, welcome our new corporate overlords" on one side, and "IMPEACH BUSH" on the other.

19. Who's keeping count?
Who's keeping count of how many show up? I can't go, but will be there in spirit. I did go to the March for Women's Lives, April 2004, and we have over 1 million turnout. It was incredible. Of course it barely got reported by the media. But I was there and I know it was HUGE. I'll bet Sept. 24 will see a big turnout.
