Poll question: Who is the Court Jester of the US Senate?
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 08:43 AM by TayTay
Is it Tom Coburn, R-Insanity, or perhaps Rick 'Man-On-Dog' Santorum (R-WTF?) Or could it be George 'Football-brains' Allen (R-Duh!) Perhaps a darkhorse moran that I haven't yet been introduced to?

Who do you think deserves the coveted title of Court Jester of the US Senate?

That man is one poor excuse for a United States Senator.

Santorum runs a very close second.

16. Hey, we only can account for HW
W was spawned in Connecticut. Have mercy. Massachusetts also has to answer to Gawd for being the birthplace of Grover Norquist (Westin, MA.) We can't be blamed for That Friggin Idiot as well.

Have a heart. We've taken enough abuse over the last two years.

I shouldn't have gone back in genealogy, you are correct. Geeez, I had no idea you were also responsible for Grover. What the hell is in the water out there?

And people say we are liberal. Maybe, but when we get an outbreak of Rethuglicanism, it's a doozy and highly resistant to vaccines. Sigh!

Thanks. And yeah, Grover originally festered his way above the swamp in good ole librul MA. Sigh! (Salem witch trials, Sacco and Vanzetti, Grover Norquist. MA has some things to be humble about.)

EDIT; Always for typos

35. This is uncalled for
having watched various hearings, Kerry is among the most statesmanlike, best prepared Senators, asking very focused, good questions.

It is obvious you have nothing to back this up with - all I know is that both of my Senators appear to have a large amount of respect for him. I also think that Al Gore would likely list a long list of Senators, before even thinking of Kerry. In fact Gore gave Kerry a very over-sized shirt saying Kerry 2008 at one of the St Patrick Day events (1999 I think).

17. Joe Lieberman...
He's too much of both (Parties) and not enough of either.

He kisses Bush literally and figuratively, but in different places for each.

He thinks he only has to be "polite" or "fair" to Republicans.

One last word: JOEMENTUM.

23. I have problems with Joe as well
But compared to Santorum and Coburn, he looks like the friggin Prince of Sanity. I mean, Joementum doesn't hold a candle to Santorum talking about privitizing the Weather Service or Coburn impersonating a real Senator at the Roberts hearings.

I mean, come one.

He posts intelligent and well-reasoned arguments that almost never mention pointing and laughing at anyone. I have respect for his opinions and for the thought that went into them.

I honestly didn't think that Joe belonged in with the likes of Coburn or Santorum or G.Allen. That's all.

And, we all see what we see when we look at the Senate.

Squandered potential has always turned me off in people. Joe could have been a contender, if, along with his high "morals" and considerable brain, came a working heart.

And he kisses Republican ass. 'Nuff said.

Must be inurred to it after all these years of having a first name that is somewhat androgynous.

My apologies. Apparently the writing is gender neutral. I meant no offense, either way.

25. Choices, choices, choices...
Had this been an essay exam, I would have to include the swinging team of Lieberman and McCain- who have conclusively demonstrated that multiple personalities are highly recommended when one must, compulsively, make a fool of oneself.
