Did any of you guys watch that speech last night?

I did.

Did you see the Dubster actually walking on grass? Wow wasn't that something?

Did you see him use code to his southern base like "rise again"....twice?

Did you hear about all that entrepreneurship? That's what made America you know...he knows...he's rich ya know.

Did you hear how he was going to give away YOUR land for free? Did you hear conservative heads popping around the country?

Did you hear that he is going to end racism.....in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama?

Did you hear him award power over Alabama's reconstruction to Haley Barbour? (failed to mention 'Bamas governor)

Did you see Barbour's ugly redneck face all over the place after wards saying how great of a speech it was, through his two teeth?

Did you hear how we are all in this together? Can we feel a "with us or against us" spin coming full throttle over the weekend?

Did you see the press almost cry because they had to keep saying sorta bad things about their A #1 best buddy man-of-the-people guy? Did you see Tim Russert dressed like a plantation owner?

Did you see that useless hump of a man actually try to work "WMD" back into this?

Did you think you were watching Mickey Mouse out of costume in front of the Magic Kingdom?

Did you hear him say he was sorry?

5. Dishwatery speech and troubling.
Just what Federal land does he want to open for development? Parks? Preserves? Military land? "If you want your own home, you will sign this toxic waste dump waiver."

Private enterprise will rebuilt? In other words more imaginary (deficeit) tax money will go to his political hack contractors.

Build it better than before? You mean with casinos and other profitable buisinesses that will do nothing for the community? Does that mean confiscating private property for big money development? What's the fair market value for emminent domain purposes on a house that is underwater?

Military to be first responders? How? I heard a general on TV a long time ago say that when asked by the president what he could do for a situation, he responded that he could kill people and destroy things. Anyway, doesn't this mean that the U.S. military can enter an area and pretty much have martial law whenever Dubya declares an emergency? Civilians should be the first responders, always.

Enterprise zones? You mean no environmental or labor laws. We must rebuild as long as the residents don't make money doing it.

Um, how in the name of hell is he going to pay for all of this? How many more mortgages can we put on this country?? Or maybe he is planning on blaming Congress for rejecting a policy that had no hope of passing anyway.

8. If we have enough regular military here to be "first responders"...
Why don't we send them to Iraq & Afghanistan. Then the National Guard can return to do the jobs they are intended for.

9. Enterprise zones
Okay forgive my complete ignorance on this-IS that what enterprise zones entail? No enviro laws or labaor laws? Is that only for the construction of the buildings in these zones?

Any info will be greatly appreciated

10. Dubya hasn't given any details.
But in cities with enterprise zones, it means a reduced minimum wage, tax breaks and other regulator considerations.

16. Armed troops, concertina wire, shoot to kill orders -
ready made Rovian brave new world. Your picture is pretty accurate and certainly brought up the same dark visions that the SPEECH, with all its serpentine drawing power, originally engendered.

6. Nah, I just watched the Bill Maher clip over and over
In case you missed it before, here is where you can view the video clip. Scroll down about halfway until you see the section titled, “Bill Maher: George Must Go”.

7. I heard a kind of droning sound
Sort of like the monotone delivery of a book report by a 5th grader.

13. Yeah, the delivery was pitiful, even for him.
He LOOKED monotonous too. His shirt matched the pale, blue lighting in the background. I had to laugh when I saw hime walk out with not tie or jacket and his sleeves rolled up. Sorry, but Reagan did that bit a lot better.

14. You can be sure that the results will be doom for the little people and
control and profit for the cabal no matter how it was phrased last night, or over the weekend, or the weeks to come. In the meantime - the bodies are still there and the some are still living in convention and sport centers without the sustenance and hope.

I believe emigree refugees to this country have been treated better? So, I midssed his speech -
Did he address these people and the bodies?
Did he talk about toxic waters?
Did he say that the entire project will be fair and that the Republicans will not take advantage of the situation either by profit, control, votes, religious impostion, rights reduction?

17. Not really
not really
He said the water is being tested regularly by the EPA but then they said it was safe to work in WTC too and then covered up reporting that it hadn't been and they knew it
He said that inspector general will be on top of it. Reviewing everything....why this is important I have no idea. Is there anything from any inspector general, OMB, or GAO that they have paid ANY attention to before?

20. Well...
"Did he address these people and the bodies?"
He acknowledged their existence.

"Did he talk about toxic waters?"
Nope

"Did he say that the entire project will be fair and that the Republicans will not take advantage of the situation either by profit, control, votes, religious impostion, rights reduction?"
Not really. He said the govt. will 'reimburse' churches for their charitable expenses, read: Federal money for religion. Also his talk of development by private industry lead me to believe that the Rs intend to make a second kind of killing. Promises for future military intervention plus stories of armed soldiers and mercinaries confiscating property and kicking out the press do not instill confidence. The concept of enterprise zones usually means a reduction in labor rights.

15. It's called the Sting
Actually this was the "Set Up". first tell America he is going to spend two hundred billion dollars on America. Then give the money to Halliburton who in return will kick back all Profits (that are extra from not having to pay a fair wage) to the GOP, probably about ten billion dollars when all is said and done. Americans get fleeced but think they are getting something great for nothing. War Profiteering and Disaster Profiteering are virtually identical and the Hallmark of the GOP. These guys are truly great con artists. Liberals who don't mind paying taxes if it is for the good of society will be supporting the GOP. This has the same mind set that came up with Crack Cocaine in the Inner cities. Get Blacks hooked on garbage free base and convict half the black males on drug charges so they can never vote and take the profits from the sale of the drugs and buy guns for the Contras. A brilliant plan that worked to perfection. The same is the case here. Make Americans think they are getting a compassionate government when actually they are getting fleeced "Big Time" as Cheney would say. when all is said and done and this Administration leaves office Cheney will have more money than God.

19. I also have the feeling that when they succeed with their scheme to
make us equal to Bangladesh in poverty and natural disasters, they will use some of th emoney to move (most/some of) their friends to another country - Paraguay comes to mind if they haven't succeeded taking over all of the Middle East for and with Israel.
