Bernie Ward: Real estate "speculators" frenzy-buying flooded N.O. houses
This was on last night's Bernie Ward show, so no link.

KGO archives the shows for 24 hours, so if you want to hear it, go to the Web Site:

http://www.kgoam810.com/

Bernie said that one "speculator" wired several million dollars into a special account for use by a N.O. realtor, with instructions to "buy as many houses as they can," REGARDLESS of whether the house is flood-damaged or still under water.

So in all of the analysis over last night's speech, we need to realize that the TAXPAYER'S MONEY that Bush wants to pump into the region will benefit HOUSE FLIPPERS / SPECULATORS as well as those "poor folks" he cares SO MUCH ABOUT.

Oh yeah...it will help Halliburton too, but we already know that.

Bernie said that the demand for property in New Orleans...ANY PROPERTY, ANY CONDITION...currently FAR OUTWEIGHS the demand to sell. It's a seller's market.
