Have we forgotten what the executive branch is?
Has it been so long since we have had an executive branch?

The presidents cabinet are his advisers and secretaries. They obey his wishes or get kicked.
The president is supreme commander of our armed forces. If there is abuse in military prisons, he has the power to stop it. Right then, right there. He has not. He is Guilty. Simple as that.

The president is the singular executive of our government. He is responsible for the actions of our government. A real president would have, during the hurricane, set up a war room, gotten real advisers and made sure things were happening. Speeches would have been canceled. Tours and photo-ops, canceled. A real president would have been there in a room with a designated pinch hitter when he needed to excuse himself or sleep.
This being said, the Republican political leaders are in lockstep, they should be educated and informed enough to see all of this. They should be the first ones to be throwing this mental case out. It seems pretty clear, the corruption has eaten to the core.

1. This is why Brownie was "doing a heck of a job."

Because he was doing exactly as planned. What could be better than having the first $62.8 billion installment in Rove's hands?

Their political concerns are the window dressing. They can't lose power. Diebold assures that, as well as packed courts, and gerrymandering.

Sorry Dr. Franklin, we lost the republic just as you warned.

3. It's the repuke 'government as business' mentality --
and their business model is the CEO who is making 450 times his base employee salary; who sets himself up with million dollar bonuses while laying off workers; who declares chapter 11 for the company, and takes a multi-million dollar closing package while the pension fund is used to pay off creditors.

There is no accountability.
