2000! Where are they? If they were forced to relocate they'd still be employed, right? Any news on this? I mean, 2000 people just VANISHED?

Lets not forget about the 2000+ missing children as a result of Katrina. Where are they?

6. Many of the rescue helicopters
Took children separately from their parents. The parents just wanted their kids safe, and sent them ahead, thinking they would meet them at the airport. But somehow the parents were taken to a different location.

3. I just heard it is more like 2700 children missing.
Which has me freaked. My understanding is that most were rescued before their parents. I am not believing that anyone left their child behind. I firmly believe they sent them ahead of themselves during rescue. So, where are they? Where did they take them after rescue? I am beginning to get a bit of tin foil hat on this one.

I had heard that on MSNBC earlier today but have not been able to find a link to confirm such a high number.

10. I think there are a lot of children in shelters without parents.
The problem is what child under five knows their last name or even their parents first name? At least that's what I'm hoping it is, and that every child will be reunited with their parents soon.
