I found this little gem at a progressive Colorado site. Labor vs capitol
www.progressnow.org.

"Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration." Abe Lincoln

2. Capitalists claim that working people are shiftless and directionless
without capitalists to exploi...er, lead us. If it weren't for the noble capitalists keeping us in hand out of the basic goodness in their hearts, we lazy darkies (of all colors) would do nothing but sit around boozing and fornicating all day.

That's how they get around the truth of Lincoln's observation.

3. great post ...
i actually think that both labor and capital need to co-exist ... but American capitalism has totally tipped the scale to cater to capital ...

labor has become the new slaves ...

we actually provide lower tax rates on capital gains than we do on earned income ... that tells you plenty about the priorities in this country ... and those priorities are exactly what we need to change ...
