How many people here have had bumper stickers destroyed?
There are a number of crimes involved with the destruction of bumper stickers. Trespassing, vandalism, destruction of property, etc. Yet the Republicans seem eager to commit crimes against Democrats. I don't know of any situations where Democrats have dstroyed Republican bumper stickers. It looks more like the difference between Democrats and Republicans (even the lower level ones) is that the Democrats are not criminals and that a lot of Republicans are.

29. I've got the following bumper stickers on my car:
Impeach bush, Visualize impeachment, Don't blame me, I didn't vote for the idiot, a W with a red line through it, Bush lied, thousands died. I've had these on my car for the past 4 months and you know what? No damage as yet but I keep getting thumbs up from other drivers. Got three today. And no, they were not one finger salutes.

Just imagine if thousands of folks like us put Impeach Bush on their cars. Moronic rethuglicans would have to spend their entire waking days ripping them off. What a cool thought.

2. No bumpersticker vandalism, but my car did get keyed.
It was around when the Iraq carnage started. I had the ubiquitous "Attack Iraq? NO!" sticker on.

3. It's the "big fascist/little fascist" dichotomy.
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 01:29 PM by Dhalgren
There are no "big" and "little" fascists. It's just that some fascists commit big crimes and some commit little ones...

4. To be fair...
In the last Florida gubernatorial election, Jeb's signage was being vandalized all over the state. We're just as guilty as they are.

5. It's funny because I know many Repugs (my whole family) and
most of them would never do anything criminal. However, lying is a whole different story. If telling a lie makes them look better, or elevates their image, NO PROBLEM!

That's sociopathic for you. I'm actually really surprised that I caught it before I was given a ticket. Law enforcement around these parts is highly sensitive to that kind of thing.

15. Well here in Philly it's the exact opposite.
Anyone with a Bush sticker has it defaced or removed. My brother is a Bush guy and his stickers have been scratched off a few times. (I swear it wasn't me. O8)) Depends on whether you are in a blue or red area I suppose.

They're getting more stand-offish, arrogant, and inflexible where I reside.

Someone scribbled through it with a magic marker.

At least it was just on the sticker and not the car but still...

19. I had my Nader sticker scratched off....but
that was some years ago. It probably depends on whether you live in a predominately blue or red state. Here in my very blue state, it's mostly repubs complaining about dems stealing signs or keying cars. I imagine its the same for dems in red states.

circle with a slash through it on one of those oval white "W" stickers..... but you can wipe THAT off with windex.

BUT I do believe that my window was smashed because of my sticker that said: Drunken frat boy drives nation into ditch

24. Recently Kerry bumper sticker was scraped off with what something metal...
scratching my bumper extensively...in a Blue city and state. The timing was rather interesting (in light of Shrub's recent plummeting "numbers")...but I would've expected that sort of vandalism last November. The actual damage to my car was equally disturbing. While I placed another political statement bumper sticker over the scratches, I sure would like another Kerry sticker. Sigh.

A full quarter-section of my hood's paint job was scratched all to hell, too.

And this is in LOS ANGELES.

28. Minutes after
Kerry gave his I give up speech last November my sticker was taken off by me. I am still pissed off at him for doing that. Months after he did that many many people here where still saying wait he is just holding off for the right moment for his attack. Well it's been 10 months where are you Kerry? I had so much faith in him and he let me down. This is not and attack against Kerry because I think he is a great senator and thats all he will ever be. I fully believe he won and if I were in that position I would have never gave up and he did.

30. Not me, but my mom...
Someone tried to rip off her plastic Darwin fish, but couldn't get it. So they broke off the tail bits and whatever else they could break. So I gave her a new one, plus a "Dissent is Patriotic" sticker. Of course, she's in south Georgia, so it's pretty heavy on the red in that area.

My favorite sticker I've seen around town was one that said "Teabag Bush!" (And if you don't know what teabagging is, I'm sure not the one who's gonna explain it to you...)

31. Sorry to burst your bubble, but. . .
After my Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker was pasted over with a Stop Kerry sticker, I got pissed. So, one late evening I went around town and defaced a lot of the local Republican's signs that was running for Congress against the Democrat. His name? John Swallow and I just had to add an "S" to the end of his name. The Democrat won BTW. I felt cleansed and just a little righteous if the truth be told.
