Is Chris Matthews shilling against Dem Landrieu by promoting Cleo Fields?
We all know how "Tweety" loves "tough talkers" but we also know he shills for opportunists and snake oil salesmen. We know he likes "BIG MEN" who can "TALK FAST" with the Lies and Spin.

Watching some of his show tonight I saw "Fast Talking VERY IMPRESSIVE" Cleo Fields on his show...I was IMPRESSED...But doing a Google this is what I found.

Be careful of Matthews...even though Fields is a Democrat...WHY is Tweety PUSHING him?

1. yes cleo fields is flawed
but he represents his community

as for tweety i'm not media-savvy enough to know or care what his motives may be

fields will never be senator because of the tape you link, they just won't let it die

2. Matthews is much harder on the dems that appear on his show than
the repubs.

Deborah Orin from the New York Post was on his show and she said that we would find WMDs in Iraq. Chris did not challenge her on that comment. What the heck? I used to like Chris more. I love it when David Gregory substitutes. He's tougher!

3. What bugs me though is "WHY?"
Except that GE Bought him out. He has a House on Nantucket Island next to Jack Welch...and he just "loooooves" Jack Welch...he's been promoting him to take over "Gulf Reconstruction."

He sucked up to Cheney tonight saying how great it was that folks in Government go and get their "medical procedures done and they don't wast time they are back the next day on the job...you gotta' hand it to those folks who get back out there and don't just sit..." (this is a lose quote...but it was Matthews saying have an "operation" and show UP FOR WORK THE NEXT DAY...EVEN IF YOU ARE BLEEDING...OR YOU WERE TOLD TO SIT FOR A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE YOU DRIVE OR DO ACTIVITY."

Sorry for "SHOUTING" but is Chris Matthews both Deaf and Incapacitated intellectually?

He has NO RATINGS that in the "old days" would have kept him employed...but he keeps shilling and whoring his HARD BALL BARF.

I just can't understand it..and why MSNBC gave him so much extra time...like a "Promotion?"

5. I hate the fact that...
He still has his show but Phil Donahue doesn't. I'll never forget when Phil hurt Chris' feelings.

10. Tell me about that. I don't know anything about Phil hurting Chris's
feelings. That sounds interesting....

9. What really bothers me KoKo is that there are more commentary
shows by republicans on MSNBC than by democrats. The republicans have Joe Scarborough, Tucker Carlson, and Connected Coast to Coast. Connected has Monica Crowley, a former Nixon employee, and Ron Reagan. Well, Ron Reagan is NOT a democrat. Anyway, you get the picture.

I used to like Hardball, but not so much anymore. The night that Deborah Orin said that we would find WMDs in Iraq infuriated both my husband and me that we both sent e-mails to Hardball complaining how Chris no longer plays "hardball" with republicans.

I love Keith Olbermann!

4. Did you hear what he said last night.
On the Hardball before Bush's speech he wanted to know "Who is going to win tonight." Implying if Bush had a bad speech the Democrats would "win," and if he had a good speech Bush would "win" and his poll numbers would go up. That comment made me sick. Like it was a debate or something.

Then he jumped on Bush because he didn't beat Kerry by more electoral votes. He believed it should not have come down to one state. He thinks Bush should have one by more. Which leads me to believe he didn't vote for Kerry last year. He already admitted he voted for Bush once (in 2000) implying he didn't vote for him in 2004 (he SAYS he was against the Iraq War). But I doubt he voted for Kerry or if he did he didn't want to.

"Looking for a Big Foot" comments that he's obsessed about on his show.

Matthews always is looking for the "BIG HERO" to save his sorry ass and mostly to save his "gravy train's" sorry ass.

Digby's transcript snips of following Matthew's shows for a week where he's "Looking for a HERO" is really a fun read..

If you missed my post on this, and are interested, I'll dig it out and PM you...

Matthews is so disgusting I think that I'll turn him off again...after not watching him for well over a year.
Ugh...who needs the pain.

7. Yeah
I mean he loves to rag on Kerry. Hillary I can deal with, Hillary has been getting attacked and lied about for 13 years now.

But calling John Kerry "a stiff" just pisses me off. Just because Kerry doesn't act like a cowboy or some bad version of J.R. Ewing, doesn't mean he's a stiff. I saw Kerry during the campagin last year and many times I saw his heart and his soul.

Your right Matthews wants some big hero to come and save the day (Colin Powell, Rudy Guliani, Dick Cheney, Jack Welch?) as you can see they are all Repunks. Maybe if he had not voted and supported Bush in 2000 we wouldn't need somebody to save us now.

8. who knows what Tweety likes? He is an utter psycho lunatic
who can't even refrain from shitting in his own nest. His enthusiasms are bizarre, his beliefs change with the wind. He displays two completely separate personalities: one in his column, the other on tv.
