Clark was hurt by the media attacks of the last couple of days and...
he did not have time, like Dean, to recover. Although Dean did not have a full recovery, he had turned it around, in my opinion.
But, from early this morning, the "reporters" of FOX and CNN were saying that Clark was "sinking like the Hindenburg" and that he was "through." No one knows how much it hurt him. Obviously, it did not help him. It probably knocked him out of 3rd place. What does he need to do to turn it around?

In my opinion, the press is going to continue to attack him as not a credible candidate so he has to plan his strategy from that fact. He needs to find a way to put the media on notice and, at the same time, make them hesitant to attack him in the same way again. He may have to call names and give examples, but do it in such a way that he knows how they play the game. However, he will call them on their unfair tactics if they do it again. So be warned. i have no other idea of how Clark can regain any momentum unless he counter attacks the media that has attacked him? Any other ideas?

3. I agree. He was almost out of the picture for a week.
Can't do that; doesn't work. The cycle moves too fast for a pause, no matter how needed it might be.

4. I think he will go to the south and turn things around.
That is what I am hoping for anyway. I think his campaign is really just beginning. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

5. Very simple.....
"i have no other idea of how Clark can regain any momentum"

.... it's call the Southern and Midwestern primaries.

Where Clark and his advance army have been working and spending money for the last two months. And, where Kerry and Dean have devoted nary a dribble of effort.

Moreover, where this Kerry and especially this Dean "momentum" will be stopped. Once and for all.

Then we will have a candidate who has more than a decent chance of defeating Karl, Dick, and The Puppet.

6. Oh puleeeze
Talk about denial. Clark wasn't in Iowa, he didn't do very well in the New Hampshire debate, his poll numbers have always been well behind Kerry & Dean in New Hampshire.......and most democrats DON"T watch Fox News. Give it a rest.

8. Not quite.
"his poll numbers have always been well behind Kerry & Dean in New Hampshire"

Clark was ahead of Kerry before Iowa. Kerry's got the MO going, for sure.

7. Never appear to be sulking. Or unable to take it.
The Democratic candidate is going to be hit by shitballs every single day. If he can't take this, he shouldn't be in the race.

Definitely call them on it, but with humor, not petulance, not even justified anger.

9. That is the response I was looking for...

How to respond... He definitely needs to respond but not with petulance.. As for Democrats not watching FOX,as the other poster noted, that may be true to a degree. But CNN was also very negative today. They both wrote him off before a lot of people had a chance to go to the polls. And it was not just Democrats, but there was a huge turnout of Independents which the General needed. I think this is a problem that has to be addressed in some manner...
