Hmmmm. Bill Clinton on 'Meet the Press' Sunday
Bill Clinton on 'Meet The Press' NBC

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3898804/

In his first "Meet the Press" appearance since leaving office, former President William Jefferson Clinton will appear on this Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press with Tim Russert." The interview will originate from the site of Clinton's Global Initiative summit, where he has assembled heads of state and business leaders to discuss solutions to some of the world's toughest problems: poverty, religious conflict, the environment and more. President Clinton will also speak about Hurricane Katrina and the fundraising effort he is heading up with former President George H. W. Bush.

We'll also get the very latest on the relief and recovery in the Gulf Coast with the man in charge of the federal operations -- Coast Guard Vice Admiral Thad Allen.

Then our roundtable tackles the politics of Hurricane Katrina, the increasing deficit, the war in Iraq, and the Roberts nomination as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Insights and analysis from Gwen Ifill, moderator of PBS's Washington Week; Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post; Judy Woodruff, longtime political reporter; and Byron York of the National Review.

5. Contrast is right. At the very least, WJC's pants will be long enough.

Seems that article "Press Wakes Up and Hit's Snooze Button" was correct.

Back to their old "turning tricks for the Pimp" once again...

And, we had hope the "Media Whores" had reformed...Ugh.

11. Was it Rick Kaplan (CNN) who was in Nantucket Vacationing when
Katrina hit. I think it was him...who was there with his wife and kids and didn't cut it short. (there was a post here on DU). Good point you make. I wondered when I read that tidbit if it was a situation of "When the cats away the mice will play."

Seems everyone in DC was on Vacation..including the great Nantucket Crowd where Tweety, Jack Welch and maybe most of the Cable whores hang out...

Wasn't it Martha's Vineyard that was the "THE PLACE" when Clinton was President? I guess Nantucket is cold and isolated enough to suit the Corporate Whores. "The People" have a hard time getting out there. The ferry is "very controlled." :-(

13. I wonder why Clinton is making the rounds..He is also on "This Week"
I wonder if he will hit the Daily Show. Is he doing a beg-a-thon for Katrina Relief or is it something else?

14. partly for $$$ for relief efforts.
partly because I think he realizes that the shrub is in serious trouble and he may take the US down with him. So Bill is stepping in to calm waters, without supporting the creep.

15. Interesting Clinton prediction on This Week a moment ago...
He said that in the 2006 election, he thought that people would vote for those who would get things done, not for those espousing ideology that was not "fact-based."

OOOhhhh, I sure hope he's right. (And he so often is!)
