1. Don't remember where I read it, but it was

a credible source that the customs people were going through the stuff they had confiscated and had counterfeit purses, shoes, etc that was in a warehouse and decided to donate it to the evacuees. The story came out shortly after the storm was over.

2. Yes, I sent hi the link where they got confisated goods, BUT

he sent me a link that actual RETAILERS where claiming that they were buying luggage with the cards.

I know the amounts were limited on the cards and none of them were $2k, and I don;t the credibility of the NY Daily Times, I just need more ammo.

where in the hell are there any louie v stores where these people could buy this over priced crap? i mean do you really think they would even let "those people" in the store or should i say boutique?

4. Really... Unless they are purchasing on line or from ebay the only

stores that carry Louis Vuitton around here are Neiman Marcus and I think Saks and I am not all that sure about Saks. Are the people that they are talking about the evacuees who left New Orleans in their own cars? I do not care where anyone shops, what I really dislike is when a story starts making the rounds that has does not seem to be based on facts.

it wasn`t directed at the middle and upper class ,it was directed at "those people". yes made up stories are distasteful but just think about who starts them...
