1. I wholeheartedly agree with you about Clinton and thank God he

is stepping up and offering advice. Maybe someone in the current administration has realized by now that they have sent this country into a free fall and that they had better change directions fast.

I wonder what Ken Star thinks now about the witch hunt he lead after Clinton. I wonder if anything has sunk into his brain yet.

I read someplace that he had "many questions" about the whole process, but felt that his oath required him to proceed. As for regrets, he never considered that the process of governing would be harmed, because the "courts" would protect the process.

What we have just witnessed was 8 yrs of neocon attacks, wasting $$$, time and taking precious attention from governing. Now, the neocons have control and with control comes responsibility.

Can you imagine the squealing like a pig if democrats did to bush what they did to Clinton for 8 yrs? Even worse, pretty much everyone knows that Bush cannot deal with detail, and he now has regressed so far, that his top aides must create DVDs just to get his attention. He would be totally incensed and even more insane than he is now.


But, doing that to him would be a mistake because it would give the neoconmen ultra-rightists cover for their total abject, absolute incompetent showing for 5 yrs.

so I wondered if he been asked about his criticism of the BBC coverage, because he's accusing them of blaming Bush. So I asked a question here. Given that many people here on DU thought the BBC coverage good, it seemed a question that people might be interested in.

However, this seems to offend your sensibilities. You've come up with some group "you guys" - I have no idea who you are talking about. No, I'm sure I'm in the right place. If you want me to let you know when I start bashing Clinton, if I ever do, I will. But asking a question isn't 'bashing'.

I also don't have much interest in your list. If you think that no-one is allowed to ask Bill Clinton questions, your judgement is likely to be poor.

4. I wish, for the sake of the Country, Bush would put Clinton in charge

of the Katrina relief effort on the ground and rebuilding NOLA and the gulf coast. His brain coordinating the help for the evacuees, dealing with clean up and reconstruction taking into account all the environmental concerns now and in the future, creating a healthy community to combat the poverty of the people, etc.

It will never happen but it would help so much.

I can dream, even if it is an exercise in futility.

edit to add - if Bush had a brain in his head (which it clearly appears he doesn't) he would appoint a Democrat to help create a bipartisan atmosphere in the rebuilding, however, instead he is going to let this become (just like Iraq) an exercise for the Heritage Foundation to try out their "conservative" idiotic ideas and send in a bunch of 19 year olds to run things.
