It is time for a democratic REAL contract with America.

The democratic party and Dr. Dean needs to get its ass in gear and create a new contract with AMerica. It should focus on undoing hte crap that this corupt administration has done and focus on the middle class, seniors, and children.

The democratic party will...

1. Place at the head of agencies those individuals with experience and expertise in their fields and the capability to effectively carry out the mission of the agencies. Energy, HLS, FEMA, etc.

2. Place the lives of working Americans over the profits of greedy corporations by ending corporate welfare and corporate tax-loopholes.
Corporations are eligible for subsidies and tax breaks ONLY by creating jobs with benefits and decent wages. The more jobs the bigger the help.

3. Protect our kids from future poverty by fully funding Title 1 and not holding our nations children hostage to a failed educational initiative like NCLB which does noting to raise real standards. Assist depressed areas in school construction and technology.

4. Create an open government with real oversight. No more foxes guarding the henhouses.

5. Protecting seniors from high medical and prescription drug costs.

6. Protecting our nation and globe from sensless environmental degradation through real environmental reforms that balance the environment and business.

7. Not bankrupt our kid's future by running up deficits by giving a tax cut to the wealthy.

8. Telling OPEC and other oil producers where to step off. And putting forth real measures to reduce the dependence on foreign oil.

9. Protect the privacy of all citizens while at the same time providing real measures to protect the borders and ports.

2. Create an ownership society which is code for haves and have nots whereby the haves own everything. Most of the middle class will become have nots.

3. Get rid of entrepreneurship and replace it with corporatism--huge profits, no risk (IF you can buy into it)

4. Do all this in the name of religion to fool the masses. The uneducated still believe in religion. People with nothing still believe in religion. By cloaking their sinister intentions with religion they can and have convinced people to vote against their own best interest in the name of religion.

3. Promise a full Senate investigation...

of the Bush administration's role in the runup to the invasion of Iraq.

Revoke the Republicans' measures to gut envioronmental protections.

Revoke Dubya's tax cuts for the wealthy elite and for corporations.

Promise full funding and NO cutbacks in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and VA benefits.

Expand, but do not change, Medicare so that all Americans will have healthcare insurance.

Get out of Iraq.

Close half of all US military bases on foreign soil.

Force divestiture of corporate-owned news agencies into small organizations, to discourage political corruption & control of our news sources.
