The State of Louisiana should rise up over this latest insult by Bush
By placing Karl Rove in charge of the re-construction in Louisiana, Bush demsonstrates once again that he learns nothing from experience. People died because incompetent hacks were placed in postions of responsibility at FEMA. The second and third layers of management are also Bush front and PR people.

What relevant experience does Karl Rove bring to this new postion? None. Unless you look at reconstruction as just one more giant opportuinity to plunder the treasury and hand out contracts to Bush buddies and backers.

Wake up people of the Gulf Coast! Bush's dereiliction killed you and now Karl Rove is going in to pick your (and our) pockets.

1. When sentenced, Rover will need some good points or he'll get the max.
Just trying to pad his resume with some "humanitarian" experience. Just like Wolfie and the Walrus.

2. What?! Fuckstick put Rove in charge of re-construction?!?!
HOLY SHIT!!

You have always been an ignorant incompetent criminal asshole, Shrubbie McAWOL, but this audacity goes beyond how you've ever mismanaged anything before! FUCK!!

Jesus, talk about making a political statement to the people of Katrina - this statement is, "Do not forget that I, the president, have the power, and that I, the president, hate you, and have no intention that anything good should happen to you again."

4. speaks volumes about Bush's real view of the disaster . . .
by placing a political functionary in charge of the project, he's stating quite clearly that he sees Katrina as a political problem rather than a human tragedy . . .

5. It's all just a game to them.
They are trying to sell Rove as a Rudy Guiliani or a super hero who saved New Orleans. They want a statue of Rove erected in the French Quarter before the Fitzgerald rulings come out and the sh!t hits the fan.

Too bad for Karl...the jig is up.

6. Louisiana, Just Say No!
Louisianans need to make it loud and clear. They need a professional to come in and help organize the re-build. The Rover has absolutely nothing to bring to the table. We need an honest visionary who has never been to D*isneyland or Crawf*rd.

7. I don't believe Bush put Rove in charge of reconstruction
That's too absurd -- even for Bush.

Why, the next thing you know, you'll be trying to tell me that Bush put a guy in charge of FEMA whose only experience was running some horse association or something.

9. There's ANOTHER insult besides that one.
Anyone taking note of the balls-to-the-wall preemptive activity going on in and around Florida, now that there's a big hurricane approaching? They're pulling out all the stops to avert a disaster there, and paying heed to all the storm warnings. Nice, 'eh? If I were a Louisiana resident, MAN would I be pissed... And I'd NEVER forget it, either. Gee, must be nice when your governor's the brother of the president... not to mention a member of the same party. Now THAT wouldn't have anything to do with anything, now, would it?
