Why are we waiting around for someone to give us their platform?

4. Most states have Platform Committees

These are just beginning now. I'd like to see many DUers volunteer to serve on these committees. This is a great opportunity to get invovlved, get your voice heard, and make a difference in your state and, ultimately, the Democratic Party as a whole.

5. National.

We need to have a clear concise message...a list of demands if you will.
A contract with Dem legislators to know what we, the constituents, expect.
I'm tired of them voting their interests and using mine as political pawns to advance their own sorry asses.

Bring the troops home NOW!

Stop hiring companies that have ripped off the American people to rebuild New Orleans

Throw all war profiteers in prison and confiscate all money they have. Put back into US treasury.

I don't think most of them know anymore.
Should begin with five or so basic tenants.
1 health care
2 tax the rich
3 get out of Iraq
4 jobs
5 raise the level on the employment tax
to include ever penny earned

8. Democrats need to start with a core of issues we all agree on

and go from there. Issues that appeal to EVERY Democrat.
