And did George ask Barbour for total federal control in Mississippi as he did in Louisiana? And what about their plans, could they expect to evacuate every one?
Has anyone found the answers to those questions? Please. :)

Barbour for federal control. There's an article that says Blanco asked Bush that very question. I don't know the percentage of Biloxi and Gulfport evacuations, I don't think they offered transportation for anybody though. Although, all they have to do is go a few miles off the coast to a shelter and be out of the worst of the danger. It isn't quite the same as New Orleans and knowing the levees might break.

3. NOLA moved the poor who would go to the Super Dome, which is a plan. |
|
It seems the cities should have some contingency for those who cannot evacuate without assistance. And, I believe buses were used to take folks to the Super Dome, the refuge of last resort.

I think New Orleans did more than Mississippi. I'm just saying that perhaps the danger was greater in New Orleans because a flood is harder to get away from then a hurricane that is gone in a few hours. Somebody also said the other day that Florida didn't even evacuate trailers at the beach. They're all guilty of not having a plan for disabled and poor people.

|
that fat prick Barbour before the hurricane but couldn't give anyone in LA a call?

6. Thanks for the welcome. I would tear my hair out but |
|
I had to shave my head due to receding hairline.
And I can't reach around to my back, which is quite hirsute.
Do u think Bush is secretly wishing for another hurricane so he can pretend to care about his fellow Americans and fly down the next day?
Maybe he'll fly down the day of and ride it out to show what he-men do when they aren't cuttin' brush.

I've wondered about what the response to a future disaster might be. On the one hand it may appear that the feds have finally gotten their shit together, but it will also highlight how it wasn't together for the poor and predominantly black population of the hardest hit areas of NO and Biloxi.

9. The last thing I remember hearing on Sunday afternoon |
|
Was there was a mandatory evacuation in Zone A and B. I don't remember if C was ever given. However they evacuated all three zones when Dennis was threatening the area.
