SHOCKING: Dole, frmr Red Cross head -against indep. Katrina investigation

I called Sen. Dole's DC office today and asked the very nice young lady if Sen. Dole was supporting an independent investigation into what happened with Hurricane Katrina. This is the SHOCKING conversation that I had:

Chipper Phone Answerer: Um, yes. Yes, she is supporting that.

Me: Is she supporting an independent investigation or the Republican-sponsored one?

CPA: Um, oh. The Republican one.

Me: You're telling me that she is not supporting an independent investigation?

CPA: Um, well. Um, no.

Me: Can you explain to me why she is not supporting an independent investigation?

CPA: No but I can transfer you to someone who can if you'd like.

Me: That would be great, thanks.

Well, the dude she transferred me to wasn't there so I had to leave a message on his voice mail. I made sure to say how outraged I was, etc., etc.

He has not called me back.

I am SHOCKED, SHOCKED. :sarcasm:

All this was followed up by a call to Sen. Burr's office where I had the same freaking conversation.

Then I called Sen. Reid's office to tell him that he had better not cave to the repubs on this one. I told the CPA there that "Sen. Reid can go to Democratic Underground, Democrats.com, Progressive Dems of America, Moveon.org and many other sites and read exactly how Democrats feel about a repub investigation."

I finished it by saying, "If he stands tall and doesn't cave, then we have his back."

Tomorrow, it will be time to call Kennedy, Kerry, Clinton and whomever else I can think of to call.

I hate calling her office because the folks who answer the phone are usually rude and they just want you off the phone.

I get sick of her and her sanctimonious, holier-than-thou self. It's disgusting.

I'm amazed that she was in charge of the Red Cross because she has no soul.

6. Remember when she got the "Volunteer" award?

When she was with the Red Cross she volunteered by not taking a salary for one year. The rest of time there she raked in big bucks.

I have worked for quite a few non-profit organizations and have been privy to the salaries of the head honchos. I know there is overhead in running a non-profit but some of these salaries are ridiculous.

Dole turned me off to Red Cross. I donate elsewhere.

5. Not Shocking...she USED Red Cross and got into Lots of Trouble Over It!

She's another one of the Bush Nepotism Crooks & Liars. Just do a Google of "Elizabeth Dole, Red Cross" and see what I mean.

She and her "Viagra Hubby" are the "Parasites" who suck off Government with their face lifts, hair transplants and penis problems. They get their big $$$$$$'s to live their lifestyle where the rest of us suck up to them, elect them ...as they give away everything we care about.

They ARE THE PROBLEM...not us..not "welfare queens" and whatever else they call Dems...THEY are THE PROBLEM. But like all else in "Conservative World" they project what's WRONG WITH THEM...ONTO US...and our weak willed spineless Dem Party is going along with it for the ride.

After all..they all use the same "Cosmetic Surgeons, Dentists and Drug Companies to "enhance their image." They are all "in bed" and can't get out of it unless it's to throw a few platitudes on Russert or Blitzer's shows. Even Russer and Blitzer and the rest have the same NAMES in their Rolodexes or PDA's.

I am from NC and she makes me sick. The smartest thing she does is not to be on television very much or the vomit cleaners disappearing off the shelf would start the conversation that would do her in.

No one died when Bill was serviced. No one. Not one single person but we spent $70 millon dollars investigating that and White Water.
