2. PA Senate race in 2006

3. Could pick up 2 House seats in Iowa

District 1 Rep. Jim Nussle (R) is running for Governor, leaving the seat open. Their are a couple of good Democrats running and the Republican candidates are trying to see who can appeal the most to the far Rightwing. District 1 is in eastern Iowa and includes the Davenport, Dubuque, Waterloo, and Cedar Falls.

District 2 Rep. Jim Leach (R) has a chance to be defeated by Dave Loebsack. Leach represents the most liberal part of the stay and has a reputation of being a moderate. Word is getting out that Leach only votes with the Democrats on issues that are already decided. When his vote is needed by DeLay, he votes with the Republicans. District is in SE Iowa and includes Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.

7. I'm in Leach's district. We need to make a point about him voting

for Delay and Hastert for Leadership. A single Congressperson, no matter how big a maverick, has little to NO input on anything that happens. After he votes for Delay, nothing else he does really matters.

I do think it would be difficult. He seems like a decent person. He must have Bush and Delay hung around his neck like an albatross or he should go Independent or Democratic.

so it will be an open seat. His district is in Eastern Iowa and blue - voted for Gore and Kerry.

We should pick it up.
