Rita Prep Now Really Makes * Look Like He Really Hates Black People....
and this is the message that has to come out of this.

* willfully and knowingly neglected NO because the people don't matter to him - they probably wouldn't vote for him anyway.

* is now taking all precautions to protect the people effected by Rita because they are predominantly white and repug - these are truely his people.

They made Jeb look good yesterday with the prep and they are making the Texas Gov look good today.

They are trying to lay the full blame on Blanco and Nagin in NOLA. I even heard on Fox this a.m. that $'s provided to the Army Corp of Engineers in the 90's should have shored up the levees and it didn't. They were indicating that the $ was squandered and said that happened on the previous president's watch.

2. Ridiculous, the prep for Key West, that has never happened before
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 07:28 AM by demo dutch
that they're staging to that level for a Cat 1 hurricane and I've lived in FL for decades.
BTW, some $ were squandered by the levy board of NO, of course Clinton is responsible for that as as well. (yeah right!)

3. I was thnking the same thing
Reports of the Navy prepositioning ships to follow the storm, pulling national guard troops back to their home states, and getting people evacuated early in "white" portions of the gulf sure is in stark contrast to what the feds did (or didn't do) before katrina.....

5. Have you ever been to the Texas Gulf Coast?
What makes you think we're "predominantly" white? And the people along the coast are more likely to be Democrats than the landlocked corn-fed folks.

8. Army Corp gets the money and local officials get the blame, how does that
work? Army Corp of Engineers is not a Local entity. It is a part of the US Army. They received quite a bit of funding for Levee repairs and yet most of that money was taken back for the Iraqi war. The fact that money was allotted by the Clinton Administration and Congress and the Bush* Administration withdrew the funds does not reflect badly on Local government but on the Bush* Administration and Congress. The fact that Fox viewers are not able to know things like that is indicative of Fox viewers mental capabilities.

9. Fox Is Trying To Intimate That Corners Were Cut In The Building....
of the levees because of local government mishandling and that the levees couldn't withstand even a Cat 2 or 3 hurricane.
