When you get into it, AP poll had Bush up 1 point.

There is a margin of error, remember? It might be DOWN on AP.
See?

3. I'm fine with it.
In fact, fuck it. Why shoudl we be fair, why should we give every little tiny detail that hurts our argument when they don't? ONE poll has his numbers up a point. So fucking what? Does that change anything? Should we be wringing our hands over a statistical issue when we should be (metaphorically) wringing necks over what's really wrong with the countrY?

4. O' Reilly's probably taken that 1 point and turned it into "All of Bush's
approval ratings are going up.

9. That is not statistically significant.
Up 1 single point is so embedded within the error bars that one *cannot* say that * approval went up. At most, one can say "The AP poll shows no statistically significant trend." But when taken with the rest of the polls, the AP poll is outside the trend shown by the rest of them. This flags this poll as suspect. One can't throw it out, but one is tempted to say that something is askew with its results.

10. The point is all Franken said that ALL polls are going down.
In fact they are not. That's all. I am not going to argue or massage facts, that's what republicans do.

12. Well, technically you're correct.
But I'll give Franken this one. Maybe he could have chosen his words more carefully, but I'm not going to quibble. Since the AP poll shows no statistically significant trend and the rest show significant downward trend, I am not willing to say that Franken is wrong.

11. Yeah, most of the numbers on his job performance rating
are going UP in the disapproval columns.
So if Bush's poll numbers are supposedly "plummeting" then just how does Franken explain THAT?
