Message for Victory in '06: Run Against Washington
After the Bush debacles (how do I count them), this time around our Dem candidates must run against Washington... similar to the 'Contract on America' Rethugs of 1994.

Sentiment is building in the direction as opposed to a left/right ideology split.

Dems have to take advantage of this.

Oh, and basically don't listen to anything the DLC, or the DNC has to say :)

1. The Dems would be "running for our lives" quite literally.

3. The DLC is a Republican doormat.
But the DNC, not too shabby. They might make it yet, what with Howard Dean as the spokesperson.

OP has a smiley next to that quoted comment, but I'm not sure if he's being wry.

?

4. The DNC has led Dems to defeat since 2000
I can't imagine a strategy they come up with could win anything

5. Why do you say it's a republican doormat?

6. Or, just run against Republicans.
That's something no national Democratic candidate has done in some time (except maybe Clinton). All those who tried to be Repug light has lost.

Dems just have to have a positive plans and run against the lunacy of the last five years. The Repugs have fucked things up so badly Dems aren't going to have to run against DC.
