Claim the economy is doing so good there is $200 billion more in treasury.
OK, so anyone know what the lie is behind this? Tons of good jobs have gone overseas, including mine. The unemployment figures are suspect. Where'd all this money come from?

8. It's been mentioned on CNBC twice so far this morning. The economy
is so good that there is $200 billion more money raised in taxes then last year.

10. The increase is so large only because last year's revenue was so low.
The total tax revenue of the government this year will still be below the total for 2000. Most of this year's increase is coming from taxes on capital gains and from corporate income taxes. Only a small portion of the increase is coming from the witholding of income and FICA taxes.

This information can be found in Table 4 of the Monthly Treasury Statement.
