My email to Senator Brownback on his remarks at the Robert's hearing

I don't know if you were listening, but he just went on and on about being pro-life, especially if the child is disabled.

I am listening to you on the Roberts nomination right now as I am sending you this email.

And as a mother of a child with disabilities, I am absolutely appalled listening to your rant on pro-life for disabilities.

THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN CUTTING MY DAUGHTER'S BENEFITS, AND HER EDUCATION! PROGRAMS THAT WERE AVAILABLE TO HER 5 YEARS AGO, HAVE DISAPPEARED DUE TO LACK OF FUNDING.

AND NOW, IN ORDER FOR YOU TO KEEP YOUR TAX CUT, YOU ARE GOING TO CUT HER MEDICAID! AND THANKFULLY, YOUR ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN SHAMED INTO LEAVING HER SSI ALONE.

I will never understand an administration that says it is Pro-Life until the child is out of the womb. I love my daughter more than any parent can love a child. But it is so frustrating to constantly have to fight the government to make sure her rights are protected. Shame on you!

Do I think he's being opportunistic and saying whatever it will take to get the nod? HELL YES.
