Anyone who supports Roberts can kiss the Presidency goodbye
Roberts supported the detention without trial or rights of an American citizen. He supported the detention and someday trial by military tribunal of children sold into slavery. He opposes equal pay for women and considers the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the Endangered Species Act and Roe v. Wade unconstitutional (though he cannot say whether he's changed his mind as he might have to decide to throw out these in the future). His wife works for Terry White, a man who as advocated the killing of doctors. Pat Robertson approved his nomination before it is announced as he is a religious fanatic after Robertson's own heart. He said in the hearings that Congress might not have the power to pull us out of the war - even if it over-rode a Presidential veto. His testimony shows that Bush will have all the power - even if we get a Democratic Congress. If 100 Senators take a position, Bush can just say "no" and he will have the support of John Roberts. What kind of lunatic would vote for Roberts. Instead of seeking re-election, anyone voting for Roberts should resign (if their is a Democratic governor) or, at the least, should never run for re-election - even for the position of dog catcher.

1. Roberts will harm our children and grandchildren.
Does this not also apply to the offspring of Senators? Why do they hate their families?

2. They don't care and that's what so upsetting. They think they are rich
enough that they can send their kids to Europe if the going gets tough here. And if all life is wiped out on Earth, they figure it will be after their time. Corporations are offering them post-retirement perks that they can use in their Golden Years.
