We have a right and duty to oppose certain elected Democrats are going against those of us who put them in office. Democrats have a right and duty to speak out when the leadership goes astray and when elected officials back tyranny instead of the people who elected them. It is no more fair to call Democrats who want their party to do better Democrat-bashers than it is to call anti-war people unpatriotic. As Democrats, we have a stronger duty to speak out against oppression and to help those discriminated against (and Roberts wants to discriminate against a lot of us) because that is part of what our party is supposed to do.

2. dem bashers don't necessarily oppose Roberts |
|
some might not actually hold the opinions they profess, and might instead be using the Roberts vote, or any other vote, to push their agenda: proving dems suck.

3. I consider those who back Roberts to be Dem-bashers. |
|
They hate women and children or don't care if they lose their rights. And anyone who stands who encourages defections to Bush by supporting those who back Roberts is obviously not on the same side as the members of the Democratic Party.
