Lieberman has been simply AWESOME this past week. Not politically, but rather in terms of his great mathematical skills and 'Joementum'. Wow. Imagine if he stuck around and went further down the path of insanity? It would be great.

for the record, i dislike most of what Lieberman stands for ... but i think it would be helpful for him to stay in the race a little longer ... here's why ...

Lieberman spoke out against bush's call to terminate the 9/11 Commission without granting the extension they requested ... you've gotta commend him for what he said ... he also suggested that he and McCain were planning to try to get the Congress to grant an extension ... Lieberman said, and I quote: "I fully support an extension to ensure that the commission's work is not compromised by the Bush administration's delaying tactics, secrecy and stonewalling. Clearly the president is not interested in a complete and thorough investigation." ... a little surprising, eh ??

I, for one, wouldn't mind hearing him raise this issue on TV as he continues his campaign ...

point two ... i started a thread last night about whether it would be better for the democrats to choose a nominee very soon or whether it would be better to have things go on for awhile ... almost everyone recognized the benefits we're receiving from all the free coverage we're getting ... now, while it's true, the race could certainly continue without Lieberman, my feeling is that he attracts a certain constituency and I think it benefits democrats to have as many democrats following the candidates and participating in the process for as long as possible ... i want democrats "tuning in" ... i want them listening to the debates .. i want them to hear all our candidates ...

i guess the bottom line is that "there's always room for one more" ... at least for a bit longer ... the turnout and the "democratic energy" in Iowa and NH was amazing ... the current situation with lots of candidates is helping, not hurting, our chances ... if it ain't broke, don't fix it ...

Many have complained that IA and NH are not a representative test, that the field is narrowed too quickly. I agree. For this reason alone he should stay at least through next week to validate that he has no chance, and then leave.

Besides, he allows the others to sharpen their debating skill against chimpie/cheney.
