Remember this famous quote, from someone identified only as someone close to the White House, from Ron Suskind's piece in the New York Times last year? I was watching Al Franken on Sundance tonight, and after discussing this quote with writer Mark Danner, Al asked him who he thought said it (his own guess was Wolfie). Danner said "Karl Rove". Hmmmmmmmmmm.

of witnesses in any grandiose statement they make - thus the part where the reporters are all meticulously taking notes on that person's greatness.
