This has been a truly horrible few weeks. And while there were and will be many mistakes made (at al levels, but MOSTLY by the feds ... or more specifically, by bushco alone) the whole series of events would test anyone.

Is it possible that the whole nation simply goes on 'tragedy overload' and essentially forgives idiot son? After all, 'no one could deal with all this'.

I'm not saying this will happen, but it seems to me it could.

I asked him where he got his shirt, and he told me he BOUGHT IT at church on Sunday. Asked him if he was considering supporting Bush in his hour of need by enlisting, and he looked at me like I was crazy. I did find out he was buying all the soda and chips and stuff because he and his friends were on their way down to Washington to (his words)"disrupt and defend" tomorrow.... so he will be part of the pro-Bush element there tomorrow.
