We Need Phil Donahue NOW!

I was completely blown away by the interview of Phil on the O'Riley show...it was unbelievable! I have rarely seen O'Riley so exercised.

WE NEED TO GET PHIL ON THE AIR NOW.

Does anyone know how to contact him? I have googled, etc. without much luck.

Because the tide is seemingly turning, some network could be ahead of the curve in having him back on the air.

Why was he pulled off MSNBC? Was it as the rumors state? That he allowed anti-war positions on his program?

Would someone join me in working on the networks...we need him now more than ever.

He had his own show already, and abysmal ratings were the result.

Donahue had the highest rated show on MSNBC at the time of cancellation.
It was pure politics. Even with their restrictions they were worried that his show was going to give them the "anti war" label. They wanted to emulate Faux and cheerlead this evil administration.

His show was quite good, but nothing on the par of his O'Reilly appearance--he MASTERED O'Reilly.

What we need is to see him opposing all the RW hacks--more from O'Reilly, Limbaugh, etc. with Donahue as the opposition. Never raised his voice, never got angry--that's what the hacks feed off of. Donahue didn't offer a nibble. to Falafel Bill.

His element is as the collected but passionate opposition. He SMACKED O'Reilly, fer Kiss'sakes and managed to get a beautiful last word in.

He can have his own show--after the Dems take back Congress...

Phil is usually so gentle. Think back to his talk show. I don't remember him ever raising his voice to anyone.

I think his appearance on O'Really was a picture of a gentle, caring person pushed beyond his endurance by watching outrage after outrage after outrage.

I also think either he or someone near him did an analysis of Billy's tactics and figure out the absolute best way to take the fight to Loofa-boy. The Falafel Kid was back on his heels for the whole thing (except for the exchange about his nephew). It was brilliant.

12. That's been my thought for the past 2 weeks....

After catching Donahue pummel Bill on his home court, and watching Dan Rather take the lead on the Hurricane Rita questions when he was a guest on Larry King (leaving Larry sputtering and trying to regain control of the microphone)... I can't help but wonder: Why the Fuck are these guys being benched for mindless Bush Apologists?? These reporters have a proven track record and were at the top of their game when management made the decision to go in a diferent direction. But really... shouldn't someone capitalize on the mistakes of the Faux news wantabes?? Why can't there be a network that has actual talent like Phil Donahue and Dan Rather and Bill Moyers?? Their rateings would be off the charts as the Faux News alternative... why doesn't anyone invest in developing such a network. With 67% of the population disapproving of the direction of this country and the effectiveness of their president... wouldn't the time to act be now?? It just boggles the mind that a no talent hack like Rita Cosby, or Tucker Carlson can get a gig on MSRNC, but giants such as Moyers, and Donahue, and Rather are sidelined for their liberal leanings. What the Fuck is wrong with this picture??
