This is what I understood after watching some of the rally today
Support of troops = hating all Muslims

Opposing Iraq war = hating all military and their families

Iraq = Good use of our military, Afghanistan =

Cindy Sheehan = Satan (O. K., that's :sarcasm: but not too far off)

The terrorists are on our front door, so BE VERY AFRAID!!!!

Did I miss anything? Pretty much the same tired old stuff. I'm a military wife, and I was fairly offended by some of the comments made and believe me, those people didn't speak for me!

1. If you don't like it, leave the Country!!
I hate that one. They would LOVE it if we left, it speaks from their black hearts.

2. I think you forgot one:
People who oppose the war = traitors to our country, bad for troop morale

4. Yep, and according to my husband
it's the CONDITIONS under which they work that are bad for their morale. He says he could care less if people oppose this war, because that is their right. I won't say that he opposes the war because that could be taken the wrong way by certain people, but I'm sure there are other people who could figure it out! :)

12. Thank you!
I am always touched by the support I get from all of you. All I get from Freeper-types (I live around plenty of 'em) is a lot of flag waving. Makes me so ill! :puke:

:hi:

3. Your second point is what makes me go hmmmm?
Why can't I be against this war but support the troops? Why do 'they' seem to think it's an either/or proposition? I've lost several friends over this very issue.
It's clear 'they' are walking in lock-step w/Limpballs, O'Leilly, etc., and don't have an independent thought in their tiny little minds.

5. Me, too.
Better to follow a chickenhawk on the off chance that they are right than to show some courage and be wrong, I guess. That's the best I can come up with

8. I saw that, too!
And when he said (I think it was the same guy), paraphrasing, "If they lined up all of his platoon and asked me to pick the one who was to die..." :puke:

I just about had to run to the bathroom for that one!

15. Husband's Service
First, I want to thank your husband for his service. Second, it is the Democrats who have been fighting for appropriations that would improve the conditions under which the troops must function. DeLay, Drier, Blount fail to pass appropriation bills that would supply the funds to buy the equipment they need.
I wonder if some of the Freeper military families have come to terms with their grief. They do not understand that it is THE CIVILIANS' responsibility to evaluate the government's employment of the military. If the military is used improperly and the citizens elect the government that performs that improper employment, it is the CITIZENS' FAULT!
I also sincerely hope that your husband comes home safely. I hope the two of you have many, many years of happiness together.

16. Thank you for your support of us!
I truly appreciate it.

I so get tired of the flag-waving, W bumper-sticker plastered freepers who have not taken one second to help me with anything, from extra help with my daughter to just lending an ear or inviting me over for dinner (I eat alone way too much). <sigh> They just don't get it!

14. They only stayed in the streets for a short time....
They quickly settled into their mothers' basements and began pecking on their keyboards. ;)
