Anybody besides me toyed with the idea of Kerry/Hollings?

I don't know if he can deliver SC to Kerry but he's a well respected southern senator and I think that he could deliver the south a bit better than somebody as young as John Edwards.

but hes old enough to be Kerry's dad. Hes 80. When Kerry was born heh ol Fritz was in the sands of Africa.

if you are a fortune 500 company. There is a reason he is commonly referred to as the senator from Disney and it sure ain't cause he's from Florida (he's from South Carolina, for those that don't know).

Let's face it, when you've got Jack Valenti in your corner, you've obviously been doing something wrong. Sure he talks about helping the workers, but then he supports legislation that helps protect large compaines from any sort of competition from open markets, driving up prices and driving jobs out of the country.

I'll except Kerry as the Democratic nominee, but there is no way in hell I would do anything to put Fritz anywhere near the White House.

We need someone to stand up to big business, not stand up for them. We already have that.

I'm sure that you are one of those people who keep saying "sure he's done some bad things, but he's also done some good things. See he's only slightly evil." My response to that is that too many people here have set their standards way too low, if they ever want to truely have someone make a difference in politics.

9. Max Cleland is a pretty good friend of Kerry's, yes?

That would add the veteran appeal in spades, plus the Southern factor.

Cleland spoke out courageously on the 9-11 panel, then he got, um, transferred/promoted/pushed out of the spotlight.
