FEMA is for all intense purposes destroyed.
Medicare is crippled and another three years could easily be destroyed.
Social Security, will the Repukes tack private accounts onto the back of some anonymous Bill?
Stay tuned for next weeks episode same Bat time same Bat channel

but since 2000 I've felt like I was watching a really bad remake of Orwell's "1984" complete with a co-opted press and a new code words.
Since Katrina - from the scenes from the Dome and Convention Ctr to the military subbing for the National Guard units of the various states - it feels like Bush is trying to push the military into action in the US to speed up the neo-con's Orwellian vision.
