If the Democrats currently wanting to lead the party

would not stand with us last Saturday to protest the war; then why should we stand with them? I am seriously asking this question. Should we not find someone to represent us who feels as we do about the war, poverty, the economy, etc?

support but the so called leadership who are still supporting or wanting to expand this are are on there own. They'll have to get all there money and workers from their corp donors. I'm done supporting wimps and appeasers.

2. It is unreal.......
kind of know why they lost last time out. I can just see them with their toe sticking in the water, checking the temp. Gore was against the war period. Dems are afraid of the flip flop.........or just afraid.

3. It feels like their only strategy is to wait and then pounce!
Like a cat.....I hope that works. Even my mom (true Dem as long as I can remember) asked me what's the Democratic message. We need to all stand together and say how wrong we think it is for half the country to totally turn their back on their Democrat neighbors for 5 years and demonize us. We're all so tired of it. Cindy is taking the fall for us, for our cause! Some who stand up will continue to fall, but looking forward to 2006, we can strike in that election and the Repugs won't have time to spin.

Like a cat, outwit your opponent.

Dems control the House and Senate = Democratic swing that lasts a generation. We all know the lies, the question is only do you...

A. Turn a blind eye to the lies?
B. Expel the filthy liars!

Every Ameican is faced with this choice. Is the cat strategy the correct choice for Democrats?

4. You'll never see our Democratic leadership standing with A.N.S.W.E.R.
It's as simple as that.

5. A.N.S.W.E.R was not the only group there
There was a broad representation of progressives and Democrats. When are they going to make a stand against anything Bush is doing?

7. That's true...but the primary sponsor, the one who arranged all the
permits, and had the main stage and all the C-Span coverage, was A.N.S.W.E.R.

It would have been political suicide for an elected Democrat to speak on their stage.

8. One More Time... In Case You Didn't Know...
UNITED FOR PEACE & JUSTICE was the FIRST group to get this thing started! ANSWER just has more pull! Now it may be since SO MANY of you are complaining that UFPJ will distance itself from them. BUT it was what it was and hundreds of thousands of people were there to make our VOICES heard!

And we did so.... LOUD & CLEAR!!

And the last time I complained about the WIMPY Democrats who seem to have no cohones, I got FLAMED! But I still think they have sold their souls or something. We have our Die-Hards out there, and they're GREAT, but the other SLOGS had better get it together! How much more do they need to get the message!

Oh yeah, it's always about CYA!!!

10. I know all about UFPJ's involvement...
did you know about this?

"Who said A.N.S.W.E.R. organized today's protests? They did."

11. I Knew About The March BECAUSE Of Answer!
But UFPJ started talking about this March way back in February, 2005! That's as per Democracy Now's conversation with Phyllis (can't remember her last name), head of UFPJ and Amy Goodman!

And I got my connections for rides through both of these groups. For me, it was about the war... and so too for MOST of us!

Sorry, would have done it if it was ONLY ANSWER! We needed to make some noise, and we did! And it's going to be VEEEEERRRRRYYYY hard to convince me that a greater percentage stayed away because of ANSWER!

I think I've been pretty clear about how I feel in all the posts I done today! It's no worse than waiting around for MOST of the Democrats in Congress to get off their Asses! If THEY were out there, then MAYBE ANSWER wouldn't have to be!!

12. I don't think anyone here has indicated that more people than showed up
to march stayed home because of A.N.S.W.E.R.

Just that Many did.

And like many here, I distinguish between criticism of A.N.S.W.E.R., their rally, and the C-Span coverage of it, and my support of the many, many, many people not affiliated with A.N.S.W.E.R. who marched.

They did the right thing. So did I.

9. Let's all leave the party and let the DLC have it.
Let's just turn it over to them. Let's not fight to change it. Just give it up.
